About Us

 

The Cleveland Ski Club is a group of more than 250 skiers and snowboarders, dedicated to the sport of skiing and snowboarding.  Founded in 1937, it is one of the oldest ski clubs in Ohio and one of 24 area ski clubs that are part of the Cleveland Metro Ski Council.  It is the ONLY ski club in Ohio with its own hill, the serene Big Creek Ski Area which was acquired in 1958.  The ski club is maintained by moderate membership dues, volunteer assistance, proceeds from club events, and donations.

Our Season

 

We open as early as we can in the season and ski until the snow is gone!  As soon as the temperature dips below 28F, we are feeding our snow guns a special mixture of SnowMax and enhancing the white stuff that Mother Natures gifts us.  Our hill faces North, so even when it warns up, our snow takes a lot longer to melt.

Ski Patrol

 

Be Safe! But just in case - we have a GREAT ski patrol on duty whenever we are open.  These rigorously trained and dedicated individuals are certified by national standards.  The Cleveland Ski Club has the oldest Ski Patrol in Ohio!
